    The incidence of primary intestinal T-cell lymphomas (PIITLs) is low and the rarity of the disease makes standardization of diagnosis and treatment challenging. We recently encountered 10 patients with PIITLs: six had anaplastic large cell lymphoma (ALCL), three had peripheral T-cell lymphoma (PTCL), one had peripheral T-cell lymphoma not otherwise specified (PTCL-NOS) and a single case had angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma (AIBL). We evaluated clinical presentations, stage, treatments and outcomes in these patients. The median overall survival was 2.9 months. All patients had intestinal involvement. All patients received chemotherapy as the first-line treatment, and four of them received autologous or allogeneic stem cell transplant. Of the seven patients receiving chemotherapy alone, five had partial responses and two had stable diseases. All patients received salvage chemotherapy, and one patient achieved a complete response. There was no significant difference in overall survival or response rates between the first-line chemotherapy (chemotherapy alone or chemotherapy + stem cell transplant) and the salvage chemotherapy. Primary intestinal T-cell lymphomas present with a high frequency of intestinal and nodal involvement, and are better treated by chemotherapy alone rather than chemotherapy and stem cell transplant./*
